Operations lead for a production company

Full-time operations lead for a production company, May to September 2026: owning the work between marketing, tech and the other departments.

The engagement

In May 2026 a production company hired me through Upwork as a full-time operations lead. The role sat between departments: marketing, tech and the rest of the business all ran work through me. The contract ran until September 2026 and closed with a 5.0 rating.

What I did

  • Ran day-to-day operations across marketing, tech and the other teams, so every request had an owner and deadlines held.
  • Coordinated the hand-offs between departments, turning one team’s request into a clear task for the next.
  • Kept the systems underneath working, including the Zapier workflows and the HubSpot and Keap pipelines the teams relied on.
  • Documented the processes I set up so the team could keep running them after the contract.

Why it matters

In a production company most delays happen between teams, not inside them. An operations lead who owns the hand-offs keeps the whole schedule moving.

“Nick is a hard working and diligent person. Intergrated and adapted to the business and offers we ran. Nick was a project manager for us and helped us move many projects from start to finish.”
