Project managing video production for hundreds of BARBRI courses
Managed and tracked post-production on hundreds of video courses for the bar-exam prep company, owning timelines and coordinating professors and creative staff.
The engagement
BARBRI produces a large library of video courses taught by law professors. I worked with the team through Upwork from late 2020 to 2024, more than 1,000 hours in total, and from March 2023 served as project manager for video production, responsible for the post-production pipeline behind hundreds of those courses.
What I did
- Tracked every course through post-production, from raw recordings to published lessons, so the team always knew what was in edit, in review and ready to ship.
- Managed the production timelines and flagged slippage early enough to fix it.
- Worked directly with professors and the creative team, coordinating recording schedules, revisions and approvals.
Why it matters
High-volume content production fails quietly when nobody owns the tracking. This role was about making the pipeline visible and keeping a large, opinionated group of contributors moving to the same schedule.
