LaunchNeat: $99 websites for local businesses

A small business I started in 2026: templated websites for local shops at $99 the first year and $50 after, with fifteen AI-built demo sites.

The idea

Most local businesses either have no website or a broken one, and the click from Google Maps goes to the next shop in the list. LaunchNeat sells the fix at a price a salon or a food truck will say yes to: $99 for the first year including the domain, $50 a year after that, with a tight, clearly stated scope.

What I did

  • Set the offer, the two price points, the in-scope and out-of-scope lists and the fifteen niches.
  • Directed Claude Code to build the marketing site and fifteen fictional demo businesses, each with its own copy, palette and font pairing rendered through one template.
  • Rebuilt the first version, which started on an app scaffold, as a plain static site of about 540 KB with no backend.
  • Registered launchneat.com and set up the static deploy and SEO pass.

Why it matters

It is the same playbook as the apps: a clear brief, real constraints and a model doing the build. The full story is on the AI/Projects page.
